Rosa Centifolia Essential Oil
Known as the "Queen of Flowers", has a timeless link as a symbol of love and compassion. Cold pressed Centifolia Rose petals fight free radicals, tone and soothe the skin Rose Water Most references agree that rosewater is anodyne (soothing) and a very gentle astringent. It is good for all skin types, but more especially for the dry or sensitive variety.
Sweet Almond Oil
Sweet Almond is a very popular carrier oil for use in massage because it is light and quickly absorbed into the skin. Rich in proteins and vitamin D, Sweet Almond oil is both protective and nourishing to the skin when used regularly.
Coconut Oil Cream
A coloured oil extracted from the dried flesh of the coconut. This oil is light with a beautiful aroma. Softens and moisturises the skin and relieves inflammation.
Chamomile Extract
There are many varieties of chamomile, but only two are used in aromatherapy - Roman and German. The latter contains a higher level of azulin (an anti-inflammatory agent), but both have similar healing properties. Azulin provides the actual essential oil with its blue appearance. Good for soothing the skin
Grapefruit Essential Oil
Native to the west Indies it has only been grown for 100 years. Zesty uplifting essential oil which has a tonic effect on skin. Excellent natural detoxifier, removing excess fluid and eliminating toxins. Effective for skin brightening. Yellow to green in colour with fresh citrus aroma, closely resembling the fresh fruit.
Clays
Originating from South East China, Kaolin (white powder) improves blood and lymphatic circulation. It is deep cleansing and remove impurities from the skin. Especially good for congested oily skin with spots and blackheads.
Bentonite found in Canada and the United States, Bentonite is used to absorb oil and reduce shine, it is traditionally used as a base in cosmetic products.
Seaweed
Bladderwrack, Algae and Carrageenan all have a very high mineral content, skin protective antioxidants and nourishing vitamins to balance skin tone, purify and clarify the complexion
Geranium (Maculatum)
This remarkable oil is balancing to both mind and body, normalising dry and greasy skin and stabilising roller coaster emotions. The aroma of Geranium essential oil is delightfully fresh and flowery and blends well with many oils.
Vitamin E - Tocopheryl Acetate
Vitamin E is a free radical scavenger, and still remains one of the finest natural anti-oxidants to neutralise the effects of free-radicals and environmental aggressions.
Sweet Orange Oil
Originally introduced to Europe from the Orient. It is an excellent tonic which helps to uplift and refresh the body, helping to improve ones mood. Deep rich orange with a rich fruity aroma.
Pomegranate
Used for its intensive antioxidant properties, considered a super-antioxidant and contains 5% ellagic acid.
Aloe Vera (Barbadensis)
Is a renowned for its soothing properties and has been used for more than 6000 years to treat a variety of skin ailments including sunburn, burns and blisters. The gel found in the cactus-like plants fat juicy fronds contains active ingredients to soothe, soften and naturally heal the skin.
Sea Salt
This particular sea salt originates from France. It helps remove impurities and toxins from the skin and the granules exfoliate to leave skin soft and smooth. Contains many minerals and trace elements hence its greyish appearance.
Lemon Essential Oil
Originated in south eastern china and arrived in Europe in the 12th century. Removes congestion and stimulates the circulation to leave skin feeling toned and brightened. The oil is pale yellow in appearance with a citrussy aroma
Ginger
Grows in India, China and South East Asia. Ginger stimulates circulation and has a warming effect on bones and muscles. Ginger will warm the spleen increasing the metabolic rate resulting in a stimulating effect on the kidneys which will help release toxins. It is light amber in colour and has a fresh spicy woody aroma.
Shea Butter
Shea butter has similar skin benefits to Cocoa Butter having good skin soothing properties. It is a wonderful healing agent and hydrates the superficial layers of the skin, improving skin softness. Pale cream white wax in appearance.
